Fatal Boating Accident Reported On LBI: Video Shows Out

A 28-year-old man was killed and his 60-year-old father critical after being thrown overboard in a boating accident on Long Beach Island on Sunday morning, Aug. 24, News12 New Jersey reports, citing sources.

Videos shared to Facebook show police boats rushing to the scene near Holgate in Barnegat Bay where a boat appeared to have lost control and was going in circles (scroll for video).

Further circumstances of the crash were not immediately available.

The scene had been cleared as of 1:30 p.m., Daily Voice sources say.
