ST. LOUIS — Police said a man died early Sunday morning after being found shot in north St. Louis.

Officers received a call just after 2:30 a.m. for a shooting in the 2700 block of Marcus Avenue in the Greater Ville neighborhood, southwest of Natural Bridge Road.

Open arrival, police found a man with a gunshot wound on sidewalk. He was transported to a hospital where he was later died, authorities said.

Homicide detectives are investigating. Police did not disclose any further information, including the man's name and age.
