WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow users to leave a voice message when their call is not answered.
The update, spotted by specialist website WABetaInfo, is currently available only to beta testers of the messaging platform.
At present, WhatsApp calls that go unanswered simply show up as missed notifications, with users typically following up by sending a text or voice note manually. The Meta-owned platform has not confirmed when the feature will roll out more widely. However, testers can already try it by joining WhatsApp’s beta programme via the Google Play Store.
