Brits spend more than four years of their life nursing a hangover , new data shows. With many of us likely to enjoy a few extra tipples over the bank holiday weekend , the study reveals Brits endure an average of 26 days per year feeling worse for wear due to the aftereffects of excess alcohol. ‌

This adds up to a staggering four years, two months and 16 days during a typical Briton’s average 64 years of adulthood. Sundays and bank holiday Mondays came out as the top hangover days. ‌
