Nice folk who are positive are likely to live longer lives, boffins say. They have discovered that old sayings like “cheats prosper” and “nice guys finish last” don’t bear out in real-life staistics. ‌

Those who have a cheerier approach to life generally outlive the grumps and grinches of the world. The study, published in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research, said those who experience some form of sadness, anger, fear of worry on a regular basis had a 10% higher mortality risk. ‌
