MISSOULA, Mont. – A new roundabout at the intersection of Scott and Phillips streets in Missoula’s Northside neighborhood is now open.

The project, which began on July 7, aims to tackle increasing traffic challenges in the area.

The roundabout includes features such as wider sidewalks, a shared-use path for cyclists and buffered bike lanes extending north to Turner Street.

Six new street lights and storm water upgrades have also been included.

During the construction period, the intersection and Scott Street Bridge were closed for approximately seven weeks.
