BIRD-IN-HAND, Pa. (WHTM) -- A culinary staple in Lancaster County is set to reopen later this week.

The Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant and Smorgasbord, 2760 Old Philadelphia Pike, will welcome customers back to the buffet at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 28.

It had been in temporary quarters since last Spring opening that location at the former Revere Tavern a few months after flames damaged the Old Philadelphia Pike restaurant.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome all of our friends, neighbors and the local community back to our family’s restaurant,” said John E. Smucker, II, Bird-in-Hand’s president and chief executive officer. “It has been a long journey and we are grateful to all those who have walked with us.”

The restaurant will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7
