KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two men were killed in a shooting Sunday morning in Downtown Kansas City, and three other people were injured, including a juvenile who is in critical condition.

Officers with the Kansas City Police Department responded to the shooting in a surface parking lot near 13th Street and Grand Boulevard just after 4 a.m.

KCPD’s early investigation shows there was an argument between multiple people before shots were fired. Some people who live in downtown woke up to the sound of gunfire and say it was hard to count just how many shots were fired.

“I heard probably 100 shots, and you could tell there were different types of guns,” said Matt Cumley, who lives in KCMO.
