Raywick, Ky. (WAVE) - Dozens of people from the Raywick community, as well as first responders from all over Marion County and neighboring counties, gathered Sunday night for a prayer vigil to support the Raywick Fire Department and the families of the two firefighters involved in a tragic accident.

Although it is a tough time for the community, first responders said sticking together will help them pull through.

“First responders are a family, it doesn’t matter the department, it doesn’t matter what agency you’re in,” said Bullitt County firefighter Michael Wright.

Wright, who is also serving as a liaison between the Raywick Fire Department and the community in light of the accident, says as a first responder, hearing about the situation was rattling.
