SAN ANTONIO — Baby geese and San Antonio Animal Care Services officers were rescued Sunday after a "slippery situation" at Woodlawn Lake.
ACS was originally called to a bird rescue after a resident reportedly saw a group of geese running around the dam spillway, looking trapped.
ACS officers were apparently "greeted" by the Mama goose with a "string of angry honks." Apparently the mother was not happy about strangers scooping up her children.
So, the ACS officers quickly tied a rope off, got a net and rappelled down the embankment to retrieve the geese one by one in a carrier.
After grabbing all the geese, the ACS officers realized they were stuck due to their algae-covered boots and the steep, slick walls, so the ACS officers called San Antonio Park Police and San Antonio Fire for an
