WATERTOWN, Wis. (WKOW) – A dog attack near Milford Street and Cobblestone Way on Saturday morning left a woman with serious injuries and resulted in one dog being shot by police. The attack, which involved four dogs, occurred just before 6 a.m. while the woman was on a morning walk.

By the time officers arrived, the woman had sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Aurora Summit Hospital for treatment. Officers reported that when they tried to assist her, the dogs charged at them, prompting an officer to fire their gun, killing one of the dogs. The remaining three dogs were seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
