The new Ivy Tech Community College president’s first 100 days in office included a visit to the local campus to hear what local faculty, staff and students had to say, a news release said.

Marty Pollio began leading the college July 1, succeeding Sue Ellspermann, who retired.

Pollio’s visit Wednesday to Ivy Tech Fort Wayne featured listening sessions with staff, faculty and community members. He also toured campus and ate lunch with students to learn about their experiences, the release said.

Visiting each Ivy Tech campus and meeting with each chancellor are among the goals of Pollio’s 100-day plan. He also wants to hold listening sessions at five or more locations and meet with legislative, business and community partners.
