BOWLING GREEN — The 22nd annual Wood County Living History Day takes place Aug. 31 on the museum grounds.
Local residents will portray historic citizens of Wood County. Organizers said the citizen honorees were chosen in conjunction with the new World War II exhibit that opened at the museum in the spring.
Among the honorees are Elizabeth Bowlus, who served in the Women’s Army Corps and will be portrayed by Wendy Guion; Elizabeth Dunipace, a World War II nurse, who will be portrayed by Erin Marten; and Carl Eschedor, a WWII Army veteran, prisoner of war, and farmer, portrayed by Geoff Howes.
The 2 p.m. event is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved inside the museum at 13660 County Home
