SAN DIEGO — The U.S. Department of State continuous vetting process includes more than 55 million U.S. visa holders , aiming to ensure their eligibility to remain in the country. A spokesperson for the department shared they revoke visas any time there are indications of a potential ineligibility. They state it includes things like indicators of visa overstays, criminal activity, engaging in terrorist activity or providing support to a terrorist organization.
The continuous vetting process involves reviewing all available information, including law enforcement and immigration records, as well as any new information that may indicate potential ineligibility under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
