A road in Alameda remaind closed Monday morning after a water main break over the weekend led to flooding and sinkholes in the area.
The break happened in the area of Webster Street and Buena Vista Avenue, the fire department said.

Crews with the East Bay Municipal Utility District responded to the scene. In an update Monday morning, city officials said water service to the area has been restored after crews worked through the night.
A section of Webster Street remains closed from Atlantic to Pacific Avenue, with only one lane open for southbound and westbound traffic. It's unknown when the road will be reopened.
