An 'amazing' restaurant near Birmingham responded to an unhappy diner over an incident involving meat fat.

After lamb fat was spilt on his daughter's clothes, the steakhouse offered to pay for the guest's laundry as a 'gesture of goodwill'.

The restaurant owner asked the customer to send a receipt and 'sincerely apologised' over the mistake.

The review took place at De La Vies, located on Barnsley Road in Bearwood.

On Google Reviews, De La Vies has a 4.4 score out of five stars, based on over 400 reviews.
