CT couple jumps in 'head first' to business; customers love it

Sometimes when you walk into a store, you just get a special feeling.

That’s how customers say they feel when stepping inside Lily’s Country Store . Located at 316 Oxford Road in Oxford.

The quaint, charming shop has a front porch filled with country décor that opens to what customers say are even more appealing and useful home and lifestyle items.

“We are a family-owned country store that specializes in custom furniture, local food and home décor,” said Jay Barker, who owns and runs the store with his wife, Jessica.

“Our goal is to provide a unique shopping experience where our customers can find items not sold in traditional big… stores.”

Open only since June, the shop is named after their middle child, Lily. They also have two other children, Wade and Brie.
