Since he was hit in the head with a beer can at the Jason Aldean concert and diagnosed with multiple concussions earlier this month, Michael Mollenkopf has experienced worsening symptoms.

Mollenkopf said in an interview Friday that Aldean was playing his second song at the Aug. 9 show at the Pavilion at Star Lake when the can struck him from behind.

“The next thing I know, something hard hit my head, and I blacked out for a couple seconds,” Mollenkopf said.

He added that when he came to, he was surrounded by a triage team and security guards. He was eventually transported by ambulance to WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center.
