HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District celebrated a very special birthday - 100 years!

To mark the occasion, a birthday celebration complete with live music, inflatables, face painting, yard games, raffles, and free refreshments.

The district also provided historical artifacts and photo displays honoring their impact over the years.

The Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District not only maintains our public parks, but they maintain our cemeteries and honor veterans on Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
