PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A plot of land along Main Street in Hurricane will soon be a residential development site for families to stay and live in the Mountain State.

“We’re just really excited to have an opportunity to share our community with new families,” said Morganne Tenney, executive director of the Putnam County Development Authority.

The Hurricane project, named Woodworth Farm community, will have more than 400 for sale units including single family homes, town homes and single-story villas at the former Woodworth farm location along Main Street.

“We felt this is one way we could support the growth in West Virginia is by having more homes for people to call their home here in West Virginia,” Tenney said.
