STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — There was a time when Geri Castellano and her father, Phil, were inseparable.
“She was my right-hand man, so to speak,” the 70-year-old dad told the Advance/SILive.com. “Whatever I was doing, she was involved.”
But that was several years ago.
Earlier this month, the Bulls Head man was shaken when he was notified of his daughter’s death from what he believes to be a drug overdose in the Bronx.
She had died four months ago, in early April.
She was just 37.
Geri was listed as an “unclaimed person” on the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System website as, presumably, authorities were unsuccessful in tracing her next of kin.
