DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Greater Summerville and Dorchester County Chamber Foundation will hold “Community Vision Plan” briefings this week to highlight progress made toward the project.

The plan is part of an effort by the foundation to help ensure a sustainable future for Dorchester County residents.

The foundation worked with Dorchester County and the Town of Summerville to create a roadmap for the future. Organizers said it was influenced by a survey that more than 3,200 residents across the county participated in.

Leaders say housing and a sustainable workforce were high on the list, along with responsible growth in areas like Ridgeville and St. George.
