Volleyball action in North Iowa sparks back up this week and several teams are aiming to make their mark in 2025. Here are six area teams that are expecting big things this season.

Charles City

The Charles City Comets finished second in the Northeast Iowa Conference last season with an overall record of 22-10. This year, they are aiming for first.

The Comets boasted a number of big wins over the likes of Saint Ansgar, Clear Lake, New Hampton, Hudson and North Tama.

The Comets return some familiar faces including Addison Ellis who finished the season with 147 kills, Sofia Parrott who led the team in assists with 714 and Evelyn Mayhew who had 41 blocks and 96 kills.

Forest City

Forest City lost a lot of seniors, but they are still looking to capture their third straight TIC-West title.
