Mason City Public Library will be making changes to its printing and photo copying policy.

In a press release, MCPL Director Mary Markwalter stated, "Due to the significant decrease in the library materials budget the library will not be able to offer free photocopying and printing to the public as of Sept. 1, 2025. The library currently offers 10 pages of printing/photocopying per person/per day for free."

The Friends of the Library and the MCPL Foundation have been underwriting the photocopy and print costs for several years and the library very much appreciates their support, the release said.
