IOWA CITY — Monday put any doubts to rest as Iowa officially named South Dakota State transfer Mark Gronowski its starting quarterback.
On Tuesday, the freshly minted starter discussed what the opportunity to start for the Hawkeyes means for him, how he intends to prepare for the game and how he defines success against UAlbany.
“I’m excited,” Gronowski said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun. It was emotional last time we walked out in Kinnick just for even Kids’ Day, especially with 72,000 fans out there, it’s going to be emotional. But, just being able to calm those emotions and go out there and have some fun on Saturday.”
