Mobile has been left out, when it comes to a certain AL.com feature. That ends today with the debut of a column called “Rising Tides.”

For a while now, AL.com has brought Birmingham-area readers a regular column called “Comeback Town,” written by David Sher and an array of guests. The focus has been on celebrating the things the city is getting right, offering visions of what it could improve and, occasionally, appealing to its better nature. AL.com is expanding the concept to Mobile with “Rising Tides” and to Huntsville with “View from the Top.”
