As Penn State went through a competitive 3-on-3 practice session in the back half of training camp , with pass catchers and defensive backs squaring off, one of the best plays of the day came from a relatively unexpected source.
Redshirt sophomore tight end Andrew Rappleyea, returning from a season-ending lower-body injury in 2024 , jabbed his foot in the ground and made a right-hand cut that left his nearest defender in the dust. His 6-4, 251-pound frame moved awfully well on the slant route, which resulted in an impressive touchdown.
