One person was found dead during an early morning house fire in Southington on Monday, according to the fire chief.

Emergency crews responded to a home on Chaffee Lane around 2:30 a.m. after getting multiple 911 calls.

When crews arrived, they said they found heavy fire coming out of the front side of the home.

Firefighters went into the home to try to extinguish the flames and look for any occupants. Crews said they found fire in multiple rooms and extinguished it.
