Katie Boulter has admitted to feeling like her old self again after attributing a challenging summer to overwork.

The 29-year-old experienced a losing streak of four matches in a row for the first time in four-and-a-half years, before finally breaking the cycle in Cleveland earlier this week.

Boulter achieved one of the best wins of her career in the first round of Wimbledon against Paula Badosa, but was knocked out in the second round by lucky loser Solana Sierra. She then went on to lose her opening matches at the WTA events in Washington, Montreal and Cincinnati.

She blamed a busy schedule over the past couple of years, which included prioritising representing Britain at the Olympics and in the Billie Jean King Cup, for her struggles.
