Three people were injured by gunfore Sunday morning in Sumter. Deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire early Sunday in the 3300 block of North Main Street. When deputies arrived, they found multiple shell casings and an individual with an active warrant who told deputies they had been shot. The subject was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital for treatment. Two additional gunshot victims from the same incident arrived separately at Tuomey’s emergency department in personal vehicles and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators collected evidence at the scene, but thus far, no victims or witnesses have been willing to cooperate. Anyone with details that may assist investigators is asked to call 911
