Danny Trejo, the indie film “Bob Trevino Likes It,” starring John Leguizamo and Barbie Ferreira, and “The Bear” breakout Liza Colón-Zayas were among the winners at the 40th annual Imagen Awards .
The Imagen Awards, which honors Latino creators, artists, and entertainers in 27 categories across film, streaming and television, were held on Friday night at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
“Bob Trevino Likes It” dominated the film categories, with the crowd-pleasing drama picking up the best feature film prize as well as best actor and actress awards for Leguizamo and Ferreira, respectively. The supporting acting prizes went to Benjamin Bratt (“Millers in Marriage”) and Sasha Calle (“On Swift Horses”), while Fede Álvarez picked up the best director award for “Alien: Romulus.”
