Beloved comedian and actor Reggie Carroll was tragically killed in a shooting in Southaven, Mississippi , on Wednesday (Aug. 20), according to the Southaven Police Department (SPD). He was 52 at the time of this death.

Carroll, who had deep roots in the Baltimore comedy scene and appeared in several television productions over the years, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on Burton Lane.

Emergency medical personnel arrived quickly and “provided life-saving techniques, but the individual succumbed to his injuries.” Police have since confirmed that one suspect is in custody.
