A keen walker has been left "concerned" after he spotted a "bright pink lake" whilst on a walk.
The mysterious body of water was stumbled upon by Barry Knight, 61, whilst he was walking the King Charles III England coast path, near Queenborough, in Sheppey, Kent.
Images taken by the walker show the 65-meter-long small lake sporting a bright pink color - a deep blue can also be seen around the rim.
The Environment Agency said the unnatural color is a" natural phenomenon caused by algae or bacteria".
Barry, from Gillingham, Kent, said he was "surprised" by his findings.
He said: "I was about half and hour into the walk and then I saw it.
"I thought 'oh my goodness' a pink lake, are my eyes deceiving me - it must be pretty rare.
