PATERSON, New Jersey (WABC) -- Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) crews have now restored water service to customers in the Riverside section of Paterson following the 42-inch water main break at North 1st Street and Arch Street.

The current water main break came days after a massive break near Paterson's Hinchliffe Stadium.

When the water main gave way in Paterson over the weekend, some 18,000 customers in Riverside and Fair Lawn were left without water.

Now that water is flowing normally in Riverside, the focus is on restoring normal water service in Fair Lawn.

PVWC is redirecting some of its outputs, using crews to reroute water through other parts of its system while the main fix is underway.
