LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lancaster County man was arrested on Saturday after authorities said he fired a round at a man on his property southeast of Lincoln.

Lancaster County Sheriff deputies responded to the report of a weapons complaint at home in the area of 190th Street and Wittstruck Road at 6:30 p.m.

While on scene, deputies learned that the incident happened while a 21-year-old man was picking up his 18-year-old girlfriend at the home.

According to LSO, 46-year-old Dale Hays used a rifle to shoot at the 21-year-old who was still in his vehicle. The man left the property soon after.

Through the investigation, deputies determined Hays was in an argument about the 21-year-old picking the girl up and did not want him on the property.

No one was injured in the shooting.
