‘Shark Tank’ investor Kevin O’Leary has identified himself as the buyer of a rare 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection sports card bearing autographs from both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

The 1-of-1 memorabilia was expected to sell for around $6 million when it became available from Heritage Auctions, but the Canadian businessman and his friends ended up paying more than twice that, splashing $12.932 million on what’s now the most expensive item of its kind.

O’Leary revealed he was one of the buyers on CNBC on Monday (H/T TMZ Sports), claiming that he, Matt Allen, and Paul Warsaw patched up to purchase the rare Exquisite Collection piece.

He defended the move, claiming that the card is a work of art and will only become more valuable.
