The Colts are in the middle of one of the toughest tasks of the year.

Indianapolis has spent the days since Saturday’s preseason finale making hard decisions, whittling the roster down from 90 players to 53 in a marathon cut that takes a toll on everybody involved, and now the Colts must make enough cuts to get the roster down to 53 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard has historically saved most of his cuts for Tuesday, but the team has made a handful of early moves in the past.
