An NFC East rival of the Philadelphia Eagles has locked down one of its best players.

Terry McLaurin, the Washington Commanders’ star wide receiver, has finally reached an agreement with the Eagles’ NFC East foe, signing a massive contract extension.

McLaurin inked a three-year extension with the Commanders worth up to $96 million, according to a Monday report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter .

McLaurin will end his hold-in and suit up for Washington’s season opener against the Giants.

Whether or not McLaurin would play for the Commanders this year was a significant storyline throughout the preseason. The 29-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, earning a second-team All-Pro nod and helping Washington to the NFC championship game.
