More than 70 firefighters are working to put out a blaze which saw a row of terraced homes in north London go up in flames.

Residents have been evacuated after the homes were engulfed just before 4 pm this afternoon on Silkstream Road, Burnt Oak, Barnet.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) is currently trying to put out the flames, which have spread to the roof and part of the first floor in a mid-terraced home.

The roofs of three other homes have also reportedly been damaged, prompting crews from Hendon, West Hampstead, Mill Hill and other stations to respond.

Residents were seen standing outside in a daze as first responders worked to bring it under control.

It’s unclear what sparked the fire, but there are no reports of casualties so far.
