Florida football coach Billy Napier said sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway is back to 100% and will start on Aug. 30 against Long Island University (7 p.m., SEC Network+)

The 6-foot-3, 247-pound Lagway has dealt with a variety of ailments during the offseason, most recently a strained calf, and did not play in UF's first two intra-squad scrimmages.

Lagway also dealt with core and shoulder issues that sidelined him from the throwing during spring drills for the Florida Gators .

"DJ has been a 100% participant in practice here for several days," Florida football coach Napier said on Monday, Aug. 25. "I think he's getting better every single day. He's having a lot of fun playing football, competing. I think he's smiling a lot more often now.
