Behind the scenes of the Cleveland Jewish FilmFest and the 33-film lineup that audiences get to enjoy, are three women who sit through hours of content to help deliver a comprehensive lineup of quality films to local theaters.

These three women – Sue Wish-Baratz, Janet Stotter and Elizabeth Sunshine – are co-chairs of the Mandel JCC in Beachwood Cleveland Jewish Filmfest. After being previous members of the committee for around a decade each, the women were all eventually asked to co-chair the festival and work as a team to deliberate, coordinate and choose films to be featured.

Wish-Baratz, in her fifth and final year as co-chair, told the Cleveland Jewish News that when she joined the committee 12 years ago, she wasn’t sure what to expect, but hoped to add value to the group.
