RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) - Lottery players in the East can buy in to a lottery offering a record-breaking jackpot.
The North Carolina Education Lottery has announced that tonight’s Powerball drawing will have a jackpot offering $750 million. The game has gone 36 drawings without a jackpot winner.
The winner can either take home that as an annuity or $338.6 million in cash.
“Powerball has a long history of offering massive jackpots so, any time a Powerball jackpot reaches the top 10 in the game’s history, players are going to get excited,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Tonight could be a life-changing night for some lucky North Carolinian. Good luck.”
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
