JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A Johnson County Sheriff’s deputy has been charged after allegedly operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on Saturday night.

Cody O’Hare was pulled over by police in Tiffin after he ran a stop sign, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. He was off duty at the time of the incident.

Police identified the smell of alcohol coming from O’Hare. He was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense.

O’Hare has served as a deputy for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office for ten years. He is currently on administrative leave.
