LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- In Nevada, healthcare providers are advocating for anonymity on abortion medication prescriptions to protect their privacy and safety.
It's been three years since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. While that removed federal abortion protections, Nevada has its own abortion protections in state law.
Now, healthcare providers are working to redefine the legal frameworks around abortion, with some advocating for anonymity on abortion-related prescription labels.
"Removing the provider's name seems like a common-sense solution to decrease the risk of violence against a provider," a Nevada doctor who prefers to remain anonymous said.
