FAYETTEVILLE — Families suing four Northwest Arkansas school districts over a new state law requiring public displays of the Ten Commandments want to add the Conway School District as a defendant in their federal lawsuit, according to news releases from the American Civil Liberties Union of Arkansas and the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
A multifaith group of seven Arkansas families with children in public schools filed a lawsuit in federal court in June aimed at blocking a new state law requiring all public schools to prominently display the Ten Commandments in every classroom and library in the state.
The ACLU and Americans United for Separation of Church and State filed a federal lawsuit, Stinson v. Fayetteville School District No. 1, challenging Arkansas Act 573 of 2025. The plain
