Those headed on their holidays this week have been warned to leave in plenty of time due to Chappell Roan's concert at the Royal Highland Centre.
The pop sensation is due to take to the stage on Tuesday August 26 and Wednesday 27 as part of the Edinburgh Summer Sessions series.
Performing two sellout shows, the Pink Pony Club star will welcome 60,000 people to each gig, which is expected to lead to heavier traffic than usual.
Traffic Scotland are urging holidaymakers to plan ahead and keep up-to-date with travel news this week.
The travel authority warned on X: "Catching a flight from @EDI_Airport on Tues 26th/Wed 27th August? Expect increased traffic on the #M8 #A8 #M9 & local routes near Ingliston due to an event at @HighlandCentre. #PlanAhead, arrive early, and check travel times.
