The Rockland County native is seeking her third organ donation in 16 years — a new kidney — as she struggles to maintain a semblance of normalcy and sense of hope.
“I take pride in being such a good patient. I take my medication every day, I never miss a dose. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I do all the right things, I go to all my doctors’ appointments,” Shields told The Post last week. 9
