Justin Lamson will start for Montana State in the Bobcats' football season opener at Oregon on Saturday.

Lamson, a redshirt junior from Southern California who transferred from Stanford in the offseason , is listed as the first-string signal caller on MSU's season-opening depth chart, which was released Monday .

"I was happy because I put in a lot of hard work to get here," Lamson said Monday, adding, "I try to be a leader on and off the field, and try to come in every day to the facility and have the right mindset."
