High school football is back.

After eight months, a long, sweaty summer and grueling weeks of fall practice, teams are finally back under the lights starting this week.

Miller and Veterans Memorial lift the lid on the season with a barnburner at Buc Stadium on Thursday and then a rivalry is renewed as Gregory-Portland and Calallen face off at Ray Akins Wildcat Stadium on Friday.
