Springfield school road to be named in memory of long

SPRINGFIELD — The entry drive to the Duggan Academy campus is slated to be named for a long-term maintenance worker and custodian who died this summer.

The School Committee took the first reading to name the drive off Wilbraham Road in memory of Daniel Kavanaugh, who died in July at the age of 61. He was a School Department employee for 35 years and worked at Duggan Academy for the past 11 years.
